Important Notice
Regarding Prediction Markets and Event Contract Platforms

While prediction market and event contract platforms have gained popularity and expanded operations, these entities are not licensed by the Commission to offer sports wagering in New York State and are operating unlawfully.

The Commission strongly encourages New Yorkers to only patronize our licensed sports wagering operators that are required to have important safeguards and player protection mechanisms in place.

The Commission has sent a cease-and-desist letter to a prominent prediction market operator demanding that company stop illegally operating, advertising, promoting, administering, managing, or otherwise making available sports wagering and/or a mobile sports wagering platform in New York.
