SEQR & Commercial Casino Applicants
Per the New York Gaming Facility Location Board's Request for Applications to Develop and Operate a Gaming Facility in New York State:
Applicants for a commercial casino must complete all entitlement processes, including environmental reviews required under the State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQR) before September 30, 2025. SEQR identifies any potential adverse environmental effects of proposed actions, assesses their significance, and propose measures to eliminate or mitigate significant impacts.
Environmental Review Lead Agency - NYS Gaming Commission
The Gaming Commission has undertaken the Lead Agency role for the following proposed projects, where the City of New York or a properly qualified local agency has not sought such designation. The Commission will post online each project's Environmental Impact Statement (EIS), which includes the Draft EIS and Final EIS, along with any relevant notices or updates.
